Route 66 Cruise

The Chain of Rocks Bridge will be opened up to all vehicles on Sept 26th.

We will leave from the Missouri side at about 9am, and head up to Springfield Il. following as much of the Old 66 as we can for the start of the Mother Road Festival.

There will be a $5 min donation to Trailnet for opening the bridge. If anyone is interested please contact Jim Foster at

Boys (and Girls) From Brazil Visit the Mother Road

Friday,  August 29th, was an exciting experience for 39 visiting Brazilians who visited Pontiac, Odell and Dwight, IL.  The group arrived in our area from the South American Country after landing in Florida and then driving to Indianapolis. They were anxious to visit Route 66 in Illinois and ride their rented Harley Davidsons to the 105th Anniversary Celebration in Waukesha and Milwaukee, Wisconsin   The week-end event drew over 75,000 motorcycles and their riders from over 40 countries world-wide.
