The End of the Trail

Yesterday, on her 83rd birthday, Route 66 was designated an official "end." Officially speaking, Route 66 now officially ends at the Santa Monica Pier. A sign was erected marking the "End of the Trail."

Happy Birthday, Ol' Gal!

...and we're not even talking to Calista Flockhart (actress, Ally McBeal), Demi Moore (movie actress) or even Abigail Adams (former First Lady) who also were born on this date.

We're talking about a lady even closer to our hearts...Route 66! Yes, the Mother Road is celebrating her 83rd birthday today, November 11!

November 11, 1926 was the day Route 66 was established as one of the original U.S. Highways.

Eighty three, huh? You don't look a day over...66!

At least you're a year younger than comedian Jonathan Winters (who was also born November 11)!
