The books are currently being offered for sale at the P.R.O.U.D. of Illinois Marketplace store, located on the square in Pontiac at 218 North Main Street. The book captures, in text and images, the history of our area. Between the hardback covers there are over 1,400 pictures, including a 16 page section of breathtaking color images. There are special sections on prominent businesses, churches, clubs, and tributes. With 264 pages of vivid history, the 2014 edition includes many images never before seen, most of them supplied by local citizens.

The books would make a great Christmas gift for the history buff in your family. Copies are priced at $49.95. Shipping is available for a small extra charge, so the books may be sent to friends or relatives who have left the area but still have ties to the community.
