Pontiac’s Charm Trail Expands
Our thanks to Pontiac Tourism Director, Ellie Alexander, for the following information.
Pontiac Tourism has recently unveiled two new collectible charms for the Pontiac Charm Trail. The Charm Trail is a promotional activity which encourages locals and visitors to explore Pontiac’s many retail establishments as they collect keepsake jewelry. There are now 15 Charm Trail dealers, up from the 13 merchants who began the program in 2013. One of the newest charms to be added to the more than 30 charms currently available is the Bob Waldmire Road Yacht and is available at both the Walldog Mural and Sign Art Museum and Old City Hall Shoppes. The distinctive Road Yacht charm was based on a design provided by local artist Bob Sear. It is the second charm Sear has helped to design; his first contribution was the Livingston County Courthouse charm.
The second new charm is a unique sun and stars pendant which will be sold at Mojo’s Majik, 214 North Main Street. All the charms are price at $3.00, and bracelet are available at many Charm Trail stores and are economically priced at $10. Exploring the shops of Pontiac via the Charm Trail is gaining the interest of many residents as well as tourists. Pontiac P.R.O.U.D., Pontiac Tourism, and the participating merchants are planning further expansion of this retail promotional program.
