World's Largest Catsup Bottle Turns 66!

2015FestivalFlyer.jpgHappy Birthday to the world-famous Route 66 landmark as it turns 66 years old!!

It is officially summer and that means the 17th annual Brooks World’s Largest Catsup Bottle Festival Birthday Party and Car Show is right around the corner! The day is Sunday, July 12, 2015, and this year we have a NEW LOCATION at Woodland Park! Thanks to a new partnership with the Collinsville Area Recreation District, all of the fun and excitement will be held at the city’s Woodland Park!

All the usual family favorites will return: ketchup tasting, hot dogs smothered-in-ketchup eating contest, hula hoop competition, water balloon toss, Big Bottle Bike Ride, St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders, and the C.I.A. Cruzin' In Antiques Car Show.

Interact on social media with the hashtag “#CatsupFest” and check out the photo gallery from last year.

Just a few important notes:

You still have until the end of the week to get your adorable 3-6 year old girls and boys signed up for the GCS Credit Union Little Princess Tomato & Sir Catsup Contest! Click this link:

We have invited the Horseshoe Restaurant & Lounge to sell our favorite frosty cold adult beverages for the day. Proceeds will go to begin restoration of the historic horseshoe shaped sign! Once adorned with neon and tracer lights, we plan to bring the iconic advertising landmark back to life - and this is the start!

Our friends at the Collinsville-Maryville-Evening Lions Club will be set up to provide their famous pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, brats and more. But the real treat is that they are giving all of us the opportunity to WIN A NEW CAR! Well, ok, not exactly new… but newly restored! Purchase a raffle ticket or two, and you could win a classic 1964 Lincoln Continental!
