Where The Road Begins
The Blooze Brothers kick off the City of Pontiac’s Rockin’ at the River Concert Series this Saturday, June 5th at Humiston-Riverside Park Bandshell, 612 W Water St.
Activities for the evening start at 6:00pm with giant yard games located near the bandshell run by the Pontiac Parks and Recreation Department. The Blooze Brothers pull in in their 1972 replica Bloozemobile at 7:00 to start their show and play until 9:00.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. 66 Licks will be scooping up ice cream and Pontiac Kiwanis will have Mario’s Italian Beef and more for sale, or pack (or order for pick up) a picnic dinner to enjoy on the lawn.
The Blooze Brothers have been one of Chicagoland’s most in-demand show bands for over 25 years. They not only honor the music made famous by the original Blues Brothers in movies, TV, and recordings, but the spirit in which they played – from Dan Aykroyd’s love of traditional blues and soul to John Belushi’s love of classic rock. Like Aykroyd and Belushi, they fuse those great musical traditions into a stage show that energizes and delights hundreds of thousands of music fans across the greater Chicago area and beyond every year. With a combination of two high-energy front men, a dynamic female lead singer and some of Chicago’s top musicians, The Blooze Brothers provide a musical experience that can’t be beat!
